Greetings from the campaign trail!
I have thoroughly enjoyed connecting with so many of you - at house parties, at community events, while picking up the kids from school, and even at the grocery store. I love hearing all your thoughtful and forward-thinking ideas and sharing my vision for our community and our county.
With Assemblymember Dawn Addis at the Mid Valley Carmel Farmers' Market.
The more I talk with everyone, the more convinced I become that we all agree on one thing … more is possible!
For me, this campaign for Monterey County Supervisor is personal. I was born in our community, I was raised here, and this is where I am raising my children. Like you, I love living here.
The question I ask myself every day as I campaign is how can our county government do more to improve the lives of all our residents. And what can we do to help make that happen?
Throughout my career - whether working as a local nonprofit executive supporting unhoused and housing insecure women on the Monterey Peninsula … or as Supervisor Adams’ Chief of Staff working to reduce wildfire risk and to preserve and protect the natural beauty of our region … as a Planning Commissioner helping build more affordable housing … or as an advisor to Senator Laird making a difference on water issues -- it’s always been about how can we do more for the people of Monterey County.
As the last days of summer approach and we take our grassroots campaign to the next level, please consider donating to the campaign or signing up to get involved to help us build the community we know is possible.
We did a tremendous job fundraising in the first quarter. Yet, with the possibility of even more candidates getting into this race, we need to continue to fundraise in advance of the next deadline.
We all agree, Monterey County is one of the most spectacular regions in the world. But, it takes hard work and the dedication of all of us to make sure the promise of this special place is here for everyone now, and also for future generations.
Together we will show that more is possible for the people of Monterey County.
